Does Quinte Smart Homes sell Starlink?

Quinte Smart Homes handles the setup and installation of your Starlink system, but we do not purchase the equipment on your behalf due to restrictions on third-party sellers. Clients must order directly from the Starlink website at http://www.starlink.com/ca/residential.

To ensure a timely installation of your Starlink system, we recommend contacting us as soon as you purchase your Starlink as our technicians’ schedules can fill up quickly. By reaching out in advance, we can reserve your installation slot based on your equipment’s arrival date, ensuring minimal delay.

While we frequently stock popular mounts, we recommend purchasing your mount when you buy your Starlink to ensure availability and minimal delays. If you require a mount, please include this in your inquiry so we can provide pricing.

Please contact us for a quote. Pricing depends on the location of the property, the location of the mount, if additional hardware and cabling is required and the number of staff we have to send. Clients are only billed after installation. However, in unique situations, we may require an appointment deposit if staff have to drive more than 2 hours and order additional equipment.

To work effectively, the Starlink dish must be in a clear unobstructed view of the sky. When programming the dish, it will tilt to connect with the closest hemisphere. Trees and buildings will impact the view, so we recommend having it installed on top of your property or on a base pole. If there are trees blocking the view, we are not able to cut them down and you will need to hire a tree removal company near you or a local certified arborist.

How do you plan to run the cables into the property?

We will need to drill a minimum 3 ¼ inch hole through the exterior wall. If you have a solid concrete, masonry, or stucco, drilling can be difficult. This is where a professional can help with getting cables professionally run under floors, through baseboards and climb the roof.

We do not provide internet. For your Starlink, this is set up by Starlink. We are only the installation company.

As Starlink dishes are installed outdoors, they might occasionally require basic upkeep, like clearing away debris or snow to maintain a clear line of sight. These tasks are typically straightforward enough for customers to handle. However, if professional assistance is needed for more complex maintenance or troubleshooting, service fees will apply to have Quinte Smart Homes to visit.

Please share as much information as possible! This includes confirming if you bought your Starlink, if you have your mounts already ordered, where you want the Starlink installed, and even what generation of Starlink you have. For example, Generation 2 and Generation 3 are different sizes and we need to know the type of parts to order, if required. For example, Gen 3 does not require an Ethernet adapter for the client.

Generation 2 is shaped like a large shoebox (about 10 – 12 inches wide and about 2 feet long).
